Per @BrettSiegelNBA multiple league personnel believe that the Timberwolves are the team most likely to move to the Eastern Conference once Seattle and Las Vegas are rewarded their expansion teams.
Key to the Wolves taking the next step will be internal development. We don’t have the picks
It’s all in TJ, Jaden, Beringer and Naz’s hands to show if they can develop
Chris Finch on TJ Shannon via @PAOnTheMic Nine to Noon show:
“We figured out now exactly how to deploy him. We think he can coincide alongside Ant as the primary ball handler”
Chris Finch when speaking about Julius Randle via @PAOnTheMic Nine to Noon show:
“It was up to me to get him going and involved and I didn’t. I take the blame because we couldn’t get him going in the playoffs”
Chris Finch via @PAOnTheMic Nine to Noon show says he expects the team to be active in the trade market this offseason.
Also says that the team does need some help in the backcourt to allow Ant to revert back to his SG position.
Chris Finch on the team this season via @PAOnTheMic Nine to Noon show:
“We had some struggles throughout the year and we were trying to hurry up and get to the postseason. When we got to the postseason we found it. We have to learn going into next season that we can’t do that again”
Chris Finch on the possibility of losing Micah Nori this offseason as other teams are looking at him to become their head coach:
“I hope so, he deserves this chance and I know the last couple years he’s been pretty close”
Sounds like Nori really could be gone 😢
Chris Finch today on @PAOnTheMic Nine to Noon show was asked if he still is in contact with KAT:
“Yes of course, he and I maintain contact along with him and some of the guys on the team. I text him after the ECF telling him how great he looks and how happy I was for him”
Donte made the sixth most three pointers in the NBA this season (244) at 37.9%.
Also played and started all 82 games this season. You could argue this was his best season as a pro.
The Timberwolves are NOT one of the teams that will pursue Giannis this offseason. 🚨
This also leaves the door open for Julius Randle to return to Minnesota with two years remaining on his contract, which includes a player option for the final season.
