One big way to help fight the rat problems in LIC is to get rid of the food trucks on Center Blvd. Gantry Park is infested with rats thanks to those food trucks and the customers that litter the park with food truck waste.

Hey @robertsietsema, why don't you do a follow-up from your article last year on LIC food trucks on how they are dumping cooking oil into the river, parked illegally (like truck in photo), have numerous health dept violations, fake license plates, etc.

Every morning, the residents of LIC waterfront wake up to food & garbage littered all over from food trucks open past park closure hours. It’s become a rat-infested area thanks to these food trucks that dominate Center Blvd. They must go!

You talked a big talk before the summer that you were going to crack down on illegal fireworks, dirt bikes. ATVs, illegal food truck parking, etc. As expected, it was all talk and it’s 2020 all over again.
