@Rosomak94 @Quadro_News I assume you are referring to the “black sphere” mounted into the top of the airframe? This is confirmed to be a very high end special omnidirectional LiDAR system, capable of detecting cable size wires, can’t remember the wire minimal wire thickness though.

@rnxfnj564h @MauroTandoi 51 minutes 45 seconds is probably the longest flight time shown on the fly app for any DJI drone atm. I’m not sure where you are getting less from?

But not even the batteries on mavic 4 pro will show 50+ minute flight time capacity, in windless conditions,battery technology has improved, but it’s a combination of the reported specs that make the weight all the more impressive if they’ve pulled of sub 250g

@hakasushi It’s a rocky road to suggest that the mini 5 will be sit above 249g, I suggested this earlier in the year due to the various leaks and was subject to ridicule lol. I for one would be fine with the mini 5, (at least with this battery) sitting about the 249g limit. Interesting!

@MauroTandoi @espen_b Is there a confirmed reason yet as to their delay, I heard mixed rumours that it was because it was too heavy and it was straining the gimbal or causing gimbal calibration errors, others stated “the quality of the filter wasn’t really up to par or had shifts” can you confirm?

@espen_b @JasperEllens To answer you directly though they needed the reviewer’s thoughts and data to find out what was good and what wasn’t and to discover if it was good enough to ship. It will be improved and then it will ship. It’s a prototype and a first for drones, just give them time.

@espen_b @JasperEllens To get results and a conclusion you need data, and to make an accurate one you need a lot of data. it worked, because it did lower the amount of light coming in sufficiently enough to reduce light in the steps advertised. The quality though was likely not all there. That’s why.

@JasperEllens FYI - basically they weren’t happy with the end result, it hasn’t been permanently dropped, but allegedly wanting to take their time and develop an even better version. Time will tell.

I was very concerned but less so now and I am happy to wait for the e-ND
