@A_5559101112 @fuzz_lord_3 It’s always so funny to me to see old clips like this and further gives my personal theory as an anime only that this is all some crazy silent hill esc world based on Rudy because Paul and him have so many parallels beyond “like father like son” as well as many others around him

@EL_ROXYSTA @yaboyrocklee One of my favorite things about the show is that it almost never truly rewards him even in the moments of things going good. Sometimes it’s pretty subtle but I think it’s still conveyed very well. And him and Paul have had parallels from the start, very Like father like son stuff

Hmm interesting that it’s foreshadowing, looking back I feel like multiple things are foreshadowing the diary, feel like you could argue interactions with man god were that too. Anyone that says Rudy is rewarded in the anime isn’t paying attention tbh

The Roxy thing I can see it but even with that being said and having no context I can’t imagine she believed him after he says that. If she did then I would agree but idk

@EL_ROXYSTA @yaboyrocklee I looked up S2 23 and I think that’s the episode Rudy cheats? I forget the details but I remember it being a tough ep because of how it went down? Idk but I don’t remember it being bad.

@EL_ROXYSTA @yaboyrocklee It’s been awhile since I saw the second season so idk what 23 was, but I don’t remember anything being bad last season. Other than that idk, this is one of those series that I don’t think changes have been that egregious, feels like a Harry Potter situation of book fluff.

@HeshComps2 To this day I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anime look this beautiful in every aspect, it’s so crazy to me. Like ufotable does amazing work but man idk what it is about MT there’s just so much love in this stuff.

@TheSkimaskGYT True, even when he took out some of his frustration on Rudy he still managed to come back from it. I love my personal headcanon that Paul is such a mirror of Rudy as much as Rudy is the classic “like father like son” thing. The parallels go deep.

@Ppy4nk1 @Tinovas_ @yaboyrocklee Like nobody should really strive to be Rudy, he’s pretty deplorable and one of the most polarizing characters to exist as an MC. But he’s extremely compelling because we want him to redeem himself, it’s just human yknow. But to me I don’t think he’s meant to get there, I hope so

@Ppy4nk1 @Tinovas_ @yaboyrocklee Like don’t get me wrong I think it’s completely possible for him to be decent and sometimes he is but some of his actions in this show morality wise I don’t know if he will ever truly be redeemable. And to a degree that’s not what the story seems to want, it’s giving him a chance

Like he still makes pretty massive mistakes like basically cheating with Roxy, then because it’s somewhat normal for a guy in this world to have multiple wives he goes for that.

@Rixi0303 What I loved about this episode too as an interesting and slick detail is that once Rudy is completely reverted to his old self. His original VA is fully voicing himself for the rest of the episode. THAT is some incredible detailing right there.
