Unpopular opinion perhaps but I've been fascinated by the rise of visible interpersonal cruelty since Covid, overwhelming decades and in some cases centuries of training about good manners. In the 20th century, "etiquette" was especially a mass obsession. Six years after Covid began, we're still seeing a population in which people who should know better behave in absolutely feral ways.
