I just want to say that what killed Metroid Prime 4 is level design and not Myles MacKenzie. The game is still a guilty pleasure for me. But the reviews are true. It's a decrease in quality from the other Prime games.
I don't understand some Nintendo fans' frustration with not having 3D Mario yet, or not having much Mario content in general.
During 2023-2025, there was a TON of Mario. Nintendo's trying to let other franchises shine and it's paying off in dividends.
Mario will come.
Marvel Wolverine is the second most expensive game that Insomniac Games has ever developed
1. Marvel Spider-Man 2 - $315 million
2. Marvel Wolverine - $305 million
3. Marvel Spider-Man: Miles Morales - $156 million
4. Marvel Spider-Man - $90 million
5. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - $81 million
What I struggle to understand is that Wolverine being a linear game would make you think that it results in a lower development cost compared to other games, however that doesn't seem to be the case here.
Marvel Wolverine was developed on Insomniac proprietary game engine so there’s a cost to R&D too, however I still feel like AAA gaming is becoming way too expensive, hence why we don’t see that many game studios take risks.
