Art Is A Hoot! Students working hard weaving! 2-3 grade made owls. We read non-fiction books to learn about different types of owls as well as Knight Owl by Christopher Denise for inspiration. So fun to see the finished projects! @ErieExcellence#SVVSDArt#StVrainStorm

5th S's concentrated on lines, shapes, and color when creating their sun and moon drawings. They used warm colors for the sun section and cool colors for the moon section. Marker was the medium they used when creating their work. Great job 5th graders! @ErieExcellence#SVVSDArt
K, 1, and 2 S's looked at artwork by Romero Britto. They chose a cat or dog to draw and used his style, a fun use of color, line, and shapes for the background. Students used crayons for projects. S's loved talking about their pet dogs & cats from home!

5th grade students looked at Pop artist Wayne Thiebaud. When creating this project, students concentrated on drawing shapes, especially circles. They also learned how to use value by shading with colored pencils. Love how these turned out! @ErieExcellence#SVVSDArt

1-2 grade students created ice cream cones using lines and shapes. They used markers and created a background. Students watched Ernie’s Ice Cream Cone, and listed to the books Lines That Wiggle and Gorilla Loves Vanilla when creating these projects. @ErieExcellence#SVVSDArt
