The inclusivity accusation is the best one people bring out.

As starfleet was incredibly exclusive, it went to great lengths to exclude everyone who wasn’t the best of the best. Not up to standard, both joining starfleet academy but also entire planets and cultures who wanted to join.

Star Fleet was ALWAYS about the MERITOCRACY. So whoever was in a position of power or authority had EARNED their place there. It wasn't a "current fucking day" ESG/DEI riddled cesspit.

Colour was never a currency of virtue like it is in today's movies and television.

Avery Brooks portrayed Sisco as a Commander then Captain that was an excellent leader and diplomat that commanded respect from all he dealt with.

A fearsome foe and a loving father, his range was on screen for all to see. And why he remains one of the most beloved Captains to this day.

The pigmentation of his skin was inconsequential to the kind of man he was. This has been a staple of Star Trek since it's inception in the 1960's.
