Some thoughts:

You can pay someone to try something, and the Blur/Blast points model has obviously excelled at that.

But in the end, you can’t pay people to keep using a thing.

Thoughts were that Blast would be worth 8b+ FDV, because it seemed like everybody and their brother was farming it.

But we’re in an echo chamber of airdrop farmers and we’ve been passing the buck to and fro all bear, and that ultimately got reflected in the price.

The chain(s) that will win will be the ones that make new people actually want to fucking use them, not just traders and crypto natives that hop from shiny new thing to shiny new thing for the airdrop.

There will be literally dozens of projects that raised tens of millions launching tokens in the next ~6-18 months.

No doubt some of them will make real money for farmers.

Which of them will survive past their points shenanigans and have good sticky dApps, not just the same defi strategy?

I think not having a ton of tokens to distribute is a positive tbh. Not looking out at a cliff.

Instead: focus on discovery, on content and tools, on competition.

And be a very opinionated chain. No need to build for everyone. Find your tribe.
