I have observed some misconceptions in our community that I would like to address.

Some pioneers are against GCV, citing the reason that $314,159 is too expensive. However, this is a mistaken statement.

When we buy a product or service, we consider it expensive or cheap based on the value we receive in exchange for our money. Once we have made the purchase, the money we spent is now tied up in the asset, product, or service we have acquired, making it difficult to sell it for the same price.

However, Pi is a currency in itself. It is similar to saying that a bill USD $100 expensive. Will you say my money is very expensive? Why you don't say this? It is because you know you hold $100, you can buy $100 products or service.

When we refer to $314,159, we are using it as a scale of measure to qualify Pi as a currency. Only when Pi can be a scale of measurement, it can be circulated as currency second function! If there is no scale of measure function, it cannot be circulated. The measurement function need stabel united price.

You spend $314,159 to acquire 1 Pi. Once the price is fixed and stable, you can use 1 Pi to purchase any asset, product, or service with a value of $314,159. Will you think 1 Pi is too expensive? You will like it with high purchase power. Right?

Some merchants believe that they cannot afford GCV of $314,159 for their ecosystem. This is also a misconception. If you cannot afford $314,159, you cannot afford even 1 US cent for 1Pi.

As long as there is no OM, all merchants cannot afford any price of Pi. To resolve this issue, we need to set GCV at $314,159. When all merchants unite at this price, OM will come for sure. Because it is fair to all merchants and pioneers and there is no space for speculation to damage Pi ecosystem!

Initially, at the beginning of OM, since the ecosystem Pi payment chain has not been created, you will still need to exchange Pi to FIAT to restock. However, the ecosystem chain can be created soon because all outside commercial entities can join in. They can all accept Pi, and there will be no need to exchange Pi to FIAT. At that point, Pi will become a real currency, and the ecosystem can be very strong and wide enough to cover all industries. The point is to unite the price to resolve the current FIAT problems for the entire ecosystem.

The reason why the price of $314,159 is chosen is that Pi will become the fifth function-world currency. I hope this explanation can help all pioneers and merchants understand the reason why GCV is essential.
