@lordefights I swear politics needs new leaders. Ones that are for the people nothing else comes before that. Someone who can meet in the middle of both left and right, without disproportionality affecting the lower class. We can’t expect people to move here if we can’t take care of our own.
@RYAMUnotAcheron@tlouxjinx It’s sadly true I’ve seen a lot of immigrants in comment sections saying “go national”. It has me baffled cause they saw first hand how National treated Māori our indigenous people and they think the right wings won’t do it to them. NZF literally wanted to restrict residency.
@drentical@tlouxjinx@juleambrose Actually they allowed referendums that would change the Māori treaty. There was a whole protest about it the biggest in nz history.
@evekilling87@k41t0z@sacchariii No your logics terrible. Comparing eating meat the nutrients and sustenance of the world to condoning sa is the literal definition of false equivalence which is an argument/claim where two completely opposing arguments appear to be logically equivalent when in fact they are not.
@evekilling87@k41t0z@sacchariii And the comparison isn’t “I feel this so I must do this” the point of what I’m saying is that humans eating meat isn’t cannibalism or condoning sa. The video creator is making a false equivalence. That’s like comparing drinking water to robbing a bank. Theres no relevance at all.
@evekilling87@k41t0z@sacchariii At the end of the day, eating meat is nowhere near the same as condoning sa. Like, be so fucking serious. No amount of moral grandstanding makes that comparison any less stupid. People can advocate for veganism without making completely unhinged comparisons.
@evekilling87@k41t0z@sacchariii You don’t have to consider something human to recognise it can suffer. That’s a pretty basic concept. I wasn’t confused I was addressing your use of the word cannibalism, which has a specific biological definition. I was challenging your terminology not vegan ethics.
@evekilling87@k41t0z@sacchariii You’re confusing moral consideration with biological equivalence. Vegans don’t believe animals are human, they believe animals deserve moral consideration. That doesn’t make them the same species. Eating another species isn’t cannibalism. You’re confusing ethics with biology.
@evekilling87@k41t0z@sacchariii Cannibalism is the act of eating the same species as you though…. Your argument falls apart cause animals are biologically different. If they were the same as humans they’d be humans. Last time I checked I wasn’t a cow or a sheep sooo..
