@glukianoff I am more shocked that the internal GPS on the drone is not connected. If it was my drone and it connected to GPS satellites it would ram itself into the rear of the vehicle trying to slow down.
@preston_holland For the mustang when you lift that seat cover over the toilet there is a flap that opens. In that flap there is a fabric tent like thing that you can put up in front of the toilet for privacy. It has about that same amount of privacy with large gaps as the pc12.
@DDS_MINN@markkjones@AmericanAir Imagine how much could get done if all parties agreed to move forward instead of spending the first half of the day figuring out who to blame for what from the day before. That said, airlines do have to report it all to the FAA.
The FAA would not play the game and would see it. All delays and their reasons are reported and discussed in morning meetings when we could be helping or fixing airplanes. Half of these meetings are about who is to blame for delays. For example, a ramper may break the shear pin during pushback, requiring a simple maintenance inspection. OPS will always blame maintenance, and then the maintenance team and directors will change the code and argue with OPS because Ramp caused the delay that required maintenance—the delay was not due to maintenance. It goes both ways, but I’m on the maintenance side, so I’m a little impartial.
I think his concern is the airline eventually blaming the delay on weather which means they don't have to pay for a hotel or help him out. Unfortunately for Mark, as long as they code it correctly what they are doing is legal. However I will say that while the mechanical issue is real, the airlines didn't work behind the scenes to make the repair slow so they could eventually blame it on weather. AA is not that savvy.
@tarheelinswva@AmericanAir Just have some bourbon; that fixes the delay pains.
Sorry, had to… Tomorrow morning in DFW is also going to be terrible. Sorry you missed your event.
I would be curious how well the ATV works as a ground plane. I have a vertical on my pop-up camper but still need to run four ground plane wires to get the SWR down to about 1 for 10-40. The pop-up has a lot of interference from shore power, Starlink, and other electrical stuff, so the antenna is isolated. I would be very curious if you can match what, say, a Suburban or pickup truck can do with the engine off or even on.
@jbransonx For the top search you have a -1 and a -2, the -2 is what probably 90% of the G200 use but you need to check the AIPC. It's still a common enough plane that places like Duncan can probably get you the set you need if you send them the old ones.
After getting an insta 360 the most current version available last summer I can’t think of ever going back. The ultimate test will be next week when I’m in Cozumel diving with the “diving case.” That said I do have two cheapo action cameras with filters and dive cases that work great. I’ve never attached anything to a wing though….
I had two dji caneras about four years ago, can’t speak to their current versions. The unprotected cameras were not truly Waterproof even for skiing, sailing or wakeboarding, even their dive cases leaked. It was neat watching the lithium battery expand and fizzle out at 80 feet. I have a picture of it somewhere.
@jbransonx I’m seeing two Meggitt part numbers but there may be more. What does your IPC say? I don’t believe your price for a second unless you’re expecting them delivered to the aircraft onboard a nicer business jet.
@jbransonx Is this where I waste my time again? What part number are you looking for? I’m assuming the Meggitt / Collins but there were many different part numbers over the years and depending on mods / wheel type on the 200.
