@PalmerDesigns_ What does keeping Contreras do for you? He’s 34. He’s making cheap money, comparatively speaking, so the return should be good for him. He’s one of the few guys you have that could get you a good return.
@NDiamondMedia There is not a member of the front office that can convince me that keeping and playing Story every day makes more sense than playing Campbell or keeping and playing Grissom and just eating Story’s money.
@RealCoachHarris I coach 6th grade travel. We coaches talk about the lack of pick up basketball for this age group constantly. Woefully unprepared and low basketball IQ
@PalmerDesigns_ They rushed him. He should’ve started the year in Worcester last year getting experience playing second base. To have him end the year bouncing around the outfield and first base doesn’t help this team at all.
@NFLFrascella Both teams made the playoffs. Supporting casts weren’t even close to comparable. Not only did Rivers not win the MVP, despite better numbers, he finished 6th!
@LouMerloni I don’t WANT to trade Duran. I think he is the most tradable of the OF/DH group. Masa’s contract would be nearly impossible to move without significantly eating a large portion of it. Not moving Roman. Ceddane is generational defensively. Wilyer is plus defender with power.
@BallParkBuzz That would be the only way it would work. You’d need to do like a 10 year sliding scale both on the cap and the floor. To expect teams to just add $50m in payroll when they currently have $60m to start with wouldn’t work either. A sliding scale over 10 years.
