As an Arsenal fan, I can't lie, we've been grappling and wrestling goalkeepers all season.
I can understand why West Ham and football fans in general are angry.
Plus all the other fouls in that incident.. hope we still win the league but the anger is fully justified
It was definitely a foul on Raya in yesterday’s game. However, weren’t there fouls elsewhere in the same passage? It’s becoming virtually impossible to officiate a game at corners. The authorities are going to need to consider bringing in a rule to stop this farce that has taken the shine off this season.
🚨🎙️| Joe Hart on West Ham’s disallowed equalizer vs Arsenal, accuses VAR of saving Arsenal’s title hopes:
🗣️“Listen, I don’t care what anyone says, that goal should’ve stood. VAR has absolutely ruined moments like that. West Ham fought for that equalizer and somehow they’ve found a way to disallow it for the softest little touch you’ll ever see. If that’s Arsenal scoring at the Emirates, nobody even checks it for more than five seconds.
And this is what frustrates fans, Arsenal have lived off those scrappy, aggressive goals all season. Blocking keepers, crowding the six-yard box, little nudges here and there… suddenly when it happens against them, it’s ‘clear and obvious.’ Give me a break.
I was a goalkeeper, I know when a keeper’s genuinely impeded and when he’s looking for help. There’s no way you can tell me that was enough contact for the goal to be overturned. The game’s gone soft. West Ham have been robbed, simple as that.
You wonder why fans think certain clubs get favourable decisions because moments like this keep happening. Arsenal are in a title race and somehow every 50/50 call seems to land their way. That equalizer changes the whole atmosphere of the game and VAR bottled it. Absolutely bottled it.”
"I’m constantly in awe of your loyalty and devotion to this special football club, and you’ve played your part in driving the team forward." 🖤
A message from David Clowes to you ahead of today's game...
The club can confirm Patrick Agyemang suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury during the first half of the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Stoke City.
We're all with you, Pat. 🖤
@cspaceram@2021Wazza Hopefully we can turn it around against pompey. Still in it but gonna be a big ask. Just think any other day with our shooting boots on we win.
Genuinely shocking from Derby. Lethargic first half. Second half created 4 great chances but to not even hit the target once, or threaten the keeper is pathetic. Played poor but should have come away with all 3 points with those chances. Not good enough. #dcfc#Derbycounty
@cspaceram First half was very poor. But at the end of the day we should have won the game. Really poor finishing. One you can understand. But not 3 sitters.
@DCFCJonnyMonty All that matters is putting the ball in the net though. I’m usually very positive when it comes to Derby and the fact we are up there this season is an amazing job. But you can’t be missing that many easy chances and expect to compete. Shocking cutting edge.
Shows how poor the championship is this season. As Millwall do not look like a team who should be in 3rd at all. All that matters though is putting the ball in the net which we somehow didn’t manage to do #dcfc#derbycounty#dcfcfans
