If there’s any consolation to all of this, I learned that you can hard reset the @TPLINK AV1300 by holding the adapter’s pair button for more than 6 secs. Unfortunately, that only lit up my LED lights, but the damn thing still can’t pair. Btw, its dead again
Why is @TPLINK so anti-consumer? My powerline adapter conked out and tech support doesn’t want to RMA?! Instead they need end consumers to perform IT staff level troubleshooting from my end?! Agent is even trying to pin the blame on my router and wants to reconfigure it.
(Update 2) managed to get my ticket escalated to a supervisor, but surprise, he’s clocking out in 9 minutes - now waiting for @TPLINK tech support to pass this on another sup. This is literally turning into a comedy show.
(Update 1): tech support wanted me to update firmware of the AV1300 AND my router! Which is btw from a different company that their warranty doesn’t cover. No thank you @TPLINK , I won’t potentially brick another device that’s working properly with everything else in my network
Recovery is not about taking away the pain, but rather becoming stronger than it; much like how love is never lost, instead we learn to love in a more deeper and meaningful way. #DadQuotes
