@RepChuckEdwards Here's the reality on Chuck and farming:
🔸 supported the tariffs which crushed the farm export opportunities
🔸 supported the Iran War which raised fertilizer and fuel costs through the roof
🔸 supported DOGE cuts to science research, the USDA, and Screw Worm monitoring
💩
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

@RepChuckEdwards@HouseAppropsGOP "It's not just his unfaithfulness, it's the Screw Worm thing too. Yep, Edwards is a lil wiggler alright.."
-- overheard at the feed store
@RepChuckEdwards@HouseAppropsGOP 🪱The Chuck Edwards Screw Worm🪱
If Chuck and other Republicans had stood tall against the stupid DOGE hack-hob, and against Trump's war on science, we'd be in a lot better shape right now.

Rep. Fletcher: The New World screwworm has been found in Texas. This flesh-eating parasite previously eradicated from the U.S. poses a huge threat to our cattle. Last March, the Trump administration fired more than 15,000 USDA employees and eliminated a program to contain the screwworm in Central America. The threat of New World screwworm is just one consequence of the Trump administration's reckless campaign to eliminate funding for government programs that Americans rely on.
@RepChuckEdwards@HouseAppropsGOP If you opposed Trump's ENDLESS pardoning of major criminals, whose victims receive no restitution whatsoever, we'd have heard it by now, Chuck.
The list is long, and getting longer. You are part of the corruption.

@TheCQRC@RepChuckEdwards One fascinating thing about oxygen is that there is more of it at the tops of tall buildings than at the bottom of shallow pools. This graphic helps to explain:
https://t.co/ucCfBErZWR
What is extremely disturbing is that not one reporter in that room had the guts to tell Trump that the Reflective Pool is simply a pool of water and isn't comparable to a building's height.
It's the most insane nonsense he drummed up AND HE PUT IT ON A BOARD to show everyone how DUMB he is.
The world looks on at the @POTUS demeaning himself in public like a clown. Sad.
@WhatleyNC "No tax on tips" is largely a sham.
Did you try to hold up a poster which discussed this but were talked out of it? Today in Dementia World:
https://t.co/7kWlQMIvmb
@whatleywarroom Whoa...today I learned that the reflecting pool is longer than some buildings are!! 😅
Interns on the graphics team better be questioning their life choices
https://t.co/kBosIy7boh
@WLOS_13 After a week of not being seen in public, Trump did appear today to show a comparative size chart of pools and buildings. Vital. Important.

@Franklin_Graham@SamaritansPurse Those are nice tents, sir. Thank you delivering them.
But probably the best thing to do would be to urgently call for peace and denounce Bibi for his war crimes. He's got warrants for his arrest by the International Criminal Court where he should stand trial.
@ChesterMorton96@RussianBerner@SarahIronside6@TrinityMustache@kathieallenmd Understood. I meant more the greater Dems nationally. Whatever strategy they used to push back on the far right--back when they saw it coming--didn't just not work, it didn't work in spades.
Logically, many Dems in the base would like to see more fire and new horses.
@RepChuckEdwards Were you able to review in any detail with an actual expert the severe impacts your DOGE cuts caused, Mr. Edwards?
https://t.co/15JSTADqAv
@HunterBiden@PMastersMusic Great to hear your truth with the spunk you're delivering it, Hunter.
My dad also has prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Best wishes to you and your pops.
@RepChuckEdwards@HouseAppropsGOP Please ask your staff (and maybe one of your girlfriends?) what the costs and logistics would be to start a major PR campaign. From your speech:
"This new and artisanal grade National Monument will be a beacon of hope for the American people"
@RepChuckEdwards@HouseAppropsGOP Congressman, if you lead a public effort to make permanent the UFC fighting cage on the White House lawn, you might get that courtesy reach-around you're dreaming about.
https://t.co/VWTCoBj6iH
@RepChuckEdwards@HouseAppropsGOP Working? The world hates us, we're losing a stupid war you had to support which is costing us hundreds of billions at the least before we're done, our alliances are in tatters, and ongoing threats to our neighbors and murder on the high seas are signs of a demented cult leader.
@TheMaineWire What? Schumer's direct quote:
“I endorsed Graham Platner. We’re going to beat Susan Collins and take back the Senate.”
He could have and perhaps will make a more full-throated endorsement as he kind of mumbled that out...but he DID endorse him.
@asheville Good for Madison County. Meanwhile, NC Republicans continue a major focus for them: working to make it harder for students to vote. They slice and dice colleges in half to dilute the vote, and they remove voting locations.

A Republican member of the Jackson county board of elections says the @NCGOP executive committee in Raleigh ordered him to vote to eliminate a campus voting location at @WCU or they'd have him removed from office.
