It’s also one of those words where if you see it written down you can tell if someone is from the UK or the US. As here in the UK it’s generally spelled honour.

@ericoach1 The nice thing is I think this is fairly global. When I go to Japan with my pretty average Japanese, everyone tries really hard to make it work.

Usually If I am not somewhere like Tokyo they tend to be excited and happy to see me use it.
