Promised Success.
Delivering Failure.
ENIC Out.
Yesterday was about exposing the board after such a big game in our history. We can't let this board deliver failure any longer.
Here's the (poss drug-addled) thing. NOBODY is coming to "save" Spurs. Managers aren't wizards. There's no time. They can put out cones, scrawl on tablets, shake the odd fist. But in the end, for better or worse, Spurs' fate is now in the hands (feet, minds) of the players.#COYS
Just a reminder to all of us, me included, the clubs been drifting, we are in a relegation fight and it’s a genuinely precarious now. Whatever your thoughts on the appointment, I don’t know enough about him to judge properly yet and, in truth, it almost doesn’t matter right now.
This is the moment the noise stops and the support starts. Every single game from here is a cup final until we are safe. Relegation would be a disaster for this football club.
Time for all of us to put the big boy pants on, stop the moaning and get behind the team. Back every player, whether you think they’re the future or not, because right now they are Tottenham and they need us.
If you hear me wavering, give me a slap.
Massive week ahead - Biggest game of the season coming up.
Up the Spurs.
It’s never been worse than this.
Relegation is on the cards and the ownership has allowed it to happen with this window, they’re absolutely naive to the situation we are in.
No energy or fight on the pitch, crowd don’t care, no desire to change things from the ownership.
ENIC get away with it because they haven't been as overt as the Glazers. Since they've owned Spurs:
- Averaged 47% wage to revenue ratio (the lowest in the PL) which boosts cash generated from operations to then spend on infrastructure.
- Of that cash we've generated from operations, only spent 37% of this on transfers (net) - again by far, the lowest in the league. We are the only PL club who has spent more of its own cash on infrastructure than transfers. Arsenal who also built a stadium (and have actually paid it off) have spent 61% over that same 24 years. Average cash spend on transfers for the PL over the last 10 years (excl Spurs) is 138% of the cash they generate.
- Lowest average ownership investment of any current PL ownership excl. the Glazers (the Club's own cash spent on infrastructure far outweighs ENIC's own contribution).
- ENIC then walk away as a huge beneficiary when they sell with one of the highest ever investment returns in the game, whilst completely leveraging the club (both by stripping its own cash out and leaving it with c. £800m debt). Their priority has always been growing their return with as little on-pitch focus as possible.
Change.
Next time you tell me that ‘it’s the players’ and not the manager. Remind yourself that we required last minute equalisers against both Burnley and Wolves this season to avoid defeat. Then remind yourself that we are the only side in the league that all of the bottom four have got points against.
Now unless you’re telling me that Wolves, Burnley & West Ham have better players than us, then yes - it’s the manager
@marcus_buckland Marcus, I spoke to Viv Lewis - I spend £24k a year and told her what I thought. She just walked away and did not have the guts to face up to me!
the game is about glory
for all those who wanted Ange out, enjoy your u-shaped ‘glory’ in the form of whiteboards, pragmatism, & horrid risk-adverse cowardly loser football

Members of the THST Board today (9.1.26) met with representatives of the Club at a senior level to discuss supporter concerns regarding recent events and the current situation at the Club. We stressed the need for the Club leadership to communicate direct with fans on these issues.
The THST Board has been engaged with the senior leadership of the football club throughout recent weeks and months and has repeatedly raised supporters’ concerns with them. Whilst we acknowledge the changes in personnel behind the scenes at the Club, this has regrettably not been matched with improvements on the pitch.
There also appears to be a dramatic fall in ambition for the football club, as evidenced by the transfer window to date and repeated statements by Thomas Frank, reminding supporters that the Club finished 17th in the Premier League last season, that the Club is only participating in the Champions League through winning the Europa League, and that Bournemouth (a side without a win in 11 games) are “always a difficult team” and that’s he is “not enjoying the job”.
Supporters have suffered the embarrassment of players directly confronting them for exercising their right to express themselves, of the Club captain publicly calling out “other people” at the Club who do not speak except “to tell a few lies”, and of the manager being photographed drinking from an Arsenal cup apparently unaware that he was doing so.
Whilst these incidents may have explanations that we could understand and even sympathise with, they demonstrate a lack of understanding and a lack of care about the perception of the football club.
We reiterated to the Club that we believe the Club leadership should address these issues publicly and through direct communication with fans.
We stressed that fans need to hear directly from the Club leadership the ambition for the football club for this season, for next season, and for the foreseeable future. That begins, but is certainly not restricted to, the coming transfer window, in which all the stops need to be pulled out in order to demonstrate that Tottenham Hotspur are a serious football club and that we really do want to "win more, more often".
Arsenal fans sing “feed the Scousers” and Everton put Fans Supporting Foodbanks’ logo on the screen straight away. Quality from Everton. Absolutely embarrassing from the Arsenal fans singing it.
Solidarity with @SFoodbanks. Hunger doesn’t wear club colours 💙❤️
