Parts of Israeli society have now spent generations living inside a psychological siege mentality built on fear, historical trauma, militarisation and the belief that they are permanently surrounded by enemies. From childhood many are raised on narratives of existential threat where survival, security and loyalty to the state become morally overriding above almost everything else.
Over time this creates an extremely hardened form of tribal psychology. Criticism of the Israeli state or IDF is no longer processed by some as political accountability but as an attack on identity, survival and Jewish existence itself. That is why even when evidence of abuses against Palestinians emerges some react with outrage not at the acts themselves but at the journalists, newspapers or institutions exposing them.
This is cognitive dissonance in real time. Deeply embedded beliefs about moral victimhood and righteousness collide with evidence of brutality, humiliation and collective punishment so denial, justification and dehumanisation become psychological defence mechanisms.
But this mentality does not exist in isolation. For decades Israel has also benefited from an extremely powerful support structure across parts of the Western political, media and cultural establishment. Governments view Israel as a strategic military ally in the Middle East. Large sections of the Western media frame events primarily through Israeli security concerns. Lobbying groups, political pressure, diplomatic alliances and fear of accusations of antisemitism all shape how the conflict is discussed publicly. Many Christian Zionist groups also support Israel for religious and ideological reasons believing the state plays a prophetic role in biblical history.
The result is an information environment where public perception is heavily influenced long before most ordinary people ever begin researching the conflict themselves. Narratives around terrorism, security and historical victimhood are repeated constantly while Palestinian suffering is often sanitised, disputed or pushed to the margins. Fear of professional backlash can discourage journalists, politicians and institutions from speaking openly which further narrows public debate.
Eventually a population can become so conditioned by fear, nationalism and wartime psychology that empathy itself becomes selective. The suffering of the in-group is seen as sacred while the suffering of the out-group becomes rationalised as necessary, deserved or simply invisible. Once a society reaches that stage accountability feels like betrayal and anyone questioning the narrative is treated as the enemy.
None of this excuses abuses or war crimes. It explains how prolonged conflict, propaganda systems, political alliances and ideological conditioning can reshape the moral psychology of societies and the institutions surrounding them over generations.
WOW!
@Theintercept reviewed more than 12000 print articles and 5000 TV segments to check for biases on Israel-Palestine.
I thought it would be bad.
I had no idea it was THIS bad.
No wonder Gaza killed what little credibility mianstream media had.
In NYT, Israel's right to defend itself was invoked 99 times. Only once for Palestine.
On CNN and MSNBC, it was invoked 755 times for Israel. But only 8 times for Palestine.
Emotive words such as slaughter and massacre were used frequently when Israelis had been killed. They were NEVER used in print when Palestinians were killed.
In Ukraine, 262 children were killed in the war, and it was mentioned 4223 times.
In Palestine, more than 10,000 children were killed, but it was mentioned only 3632.

🚨 ABSOLUTE BOMBSHELL: Top journalist Carole Cadwalladr confirms a rogue US tech firm is secretly running Britain's nuclear missile program!
She reveals the UK government has entirely surrendered its national security to foreign billionaires. Total establishment betrayal!
Reading this powerful piece two quotes immediately came to mind, beyond the anger, disgust and sheer sadness over what was done to millions of ordinary people during Covid by unelected technocrats, billionaire influence networks and politicians drunk on power.
Firstly, thank you Jeffrey Tucker for continuing to document and expose the mindset, arrogance and elite networks that helped shape one of the most extraordinary periods of state overreach in modern history.
'Every age produces men who believe they can play God. Every age pays the price for their arrogance'
And perhaps most relevant of all:
'The moment politicians, billionaires and technocrats begin acting like gods, ordinary people cease to be citizens and become subjects'
What makes it even darker is that so many of the people shaping policy during that period were not elected, medically qualified or accountable to the public in any meaningful way. Yet they helped engineer mandates, censorship, lockdowns, social division and unprecedented restrictions on liberty while remaining insulated from the human cost themselves.
And now, years later, many of those responsible will likely never face genuine scrutiny, let alone accountability.

One of the most horrifying scenes in human history has been revealed.
When Israel forced thousands in Gaza to collect flour mixed with sand due to severe famine.
A moment the world must never forget.
Israeli soldiers were caught on video raping Palestinian
Victim suffered ruptured intestine, severe injury to anus, lungs & broken ribs
Israelis rioted for the right to rape, government
ministers defended soldiers & 1 rapist became a TV celebrity
All charges were then dropped
"The fact the British government takes that position and then continues to lend support to an open genocide being waged by an indicted war criminal, Benjamin Netanyahu tells you everything you need to know about this."

Jared Kushner's funds have been frozen:
Albania’s Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) did freeze the bank accounts of a landholding company (Albania Land Development) tied to a controversial luxury resort project linked to Jared Kushner’s investment firm, Affinity Partners.
This happened on Tuesday (June 2, 2026) as part of a widening investigation into alleged property-fraud and fraudulent land titles connected to the $4 billion (or €4 billion) development on Sazan Island and the protected Vjosa-Narta coastal wetlands.

This Labour MP lobbied the Home Office to ban political commentators from entering the UK, and Shabana Mahmood complied.
But did you know that David Taylor received money from Labour Together whilst they had an ex-IDF soldier on their board?
Here’s what the paper trail shows:🧵
If people genuinely do care about transparency in the food chain then please start calmly putting pressure on retailers and politicians.
Send polite, direct emails to supermarkets asking:
'Could you please clarify whether any of your dairy suppliers use feed additives such as Bovaer or similar methane-reducing products ?
As a customer, I would appreciate greater transparency around whether these additives are being used within your supply chain and whether there are any plans for clearer consumer labelling so people can make informed choices'
That approach is far more effective than emotive response.
This is not about attacking farmers or rejecting science.
It is about transparency, informed consent and the public’s right to choose what they buy.
If corporations and regulators are fully confident these additives are safe, then clear disclosure and labelling should not be controversial.
What people can actually do:
• Contact supermarkets directly
• Support transparent local dairies and organic producers
• Push MPs for mandatory disclosure and labelling
• Stay informed instead of reacting emotionally to headlines and social media hysteria
Real change comes from organised consumers.

In a brazen, wide-ranging interview, "anti-zionist" Normal Finkelstein says:
▪️He doesn't believe in a 1-or 2-state solution for Gaza/Israel because he's a communist who doesn't believe in any states
▪️He doesn't believe in Making America Great Again, or putting America First
▪️He doesn't believe israel killed JFK
▪️Our 1-man/1-vote, multicultural, secular country "isn't enough" for his liking
▪️It's too easy & takes no courage for people on the Right like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens & Nick Fuentes to attack Israel, and they're just capitalizing off the conflict
▪️He doesn't believe in either side of the Gaza/Israel conflict
▪️Thinks it's strange for people on the Right to support Gaza
Can anyone tell me why we should still support this guy or uphold him as an example of a "good jew?"
There were only 210,000 Jews in Germany in 1939.
In 1923, according to Jewish Encyclopedia, which you can consult, showed 2 million Jews worldwide.
Tell me again how 6 million Jews makes sense?
