Smart Move Innovation Challenge’s results are declared (1/5): Congratulations to the team from IIT Roorkee, for their solution that predicts crowding levels in public transport, for being one of the winning ideas of the Smart Move Challenge!
SMART move Idea 9/10 : Alumnus of BITS Dubai & University College London came together to work on a mobile app to integrate first/ last mile with public transport. Among other features, the app also plans to include feature for users to avail various transport related services.
SMART move Idea 7/10 : Team of ex students from RWTH Aatchen University, Germany, came together to work on a mobile application which will inform commuters in better trip planning and also have additional features for women safety.

SMART move idea 6/10 – In another idea from @CEEWIndia, Delhi, team is working on rapid assessment and identification of bus STOPs that need safety and accessibility upgrade. Team is evaluating bus STOP's catchment using a computer vision approach.

SMART move idea 5/10 - Team from @CEEWIndia is utilizing bus GPS data and user smartphone data to map the mobility trends and is working on developing a tool for bus agency officials to help them bridge the demand and supply gap.

SMART move Idea 4/10 - Team from #IIT Delhi is developing an algorithm using operations research to build a toolkit which will help BUS agency officials in #optimizing the BUS schedules. Team has been in touch with #BMTC to pilot the toolkit.

SMART move Idea 3/10 : In another idea from #SVNIT Surat, team is working on bus priority signalization along BRT corridor. For pilot, team is using an ITS-based architecture for selected junctions along the #Surat#BRT corridor.

SMART move Idea 2/10 : Team from DULT, Bengaluru, is working on targeted and systematic communication & outreach program in Hubbali-Dharwad to revive the HDBRTS ridership. Templated output of this work can also be used to help other BRT agencies in reviving their ridership.
The team from SVNIT is working on developing a dashboard to analyze the performance efficiency of a bus route. The tool will help a transit agency official in assessing the route's performance and aid in decision making.
