Professor Yasuto Tachikawa of #Kyoto University presenting plans for next summer's UK-Japan #RENKEI climate change workshop & Steering Committee meeting. June is apparently a perfect time to visit #Japan climatically & he argues that there are also beautiful temples to visit
In May 1856, the Directors of Oriental Gas Company met in #London to discuss a proposal for gas streetlights in #Calcutta. The contract for the fittings went to Messenger & Sons of #Birmingham. One of the earliest iron fittings can still be seen in #Kolkata.
