@WhistlerBlckcmb@TELUS Ski patrol told me just now that alpine on Whistler is NOT going to open today. Vail, why don’t you get your communications in order and publish this?
@WhistlerBlckcmb IF you can get a reservation. Which I couldn’t, even though I have a seasons pass. System is massively buggy. Or overloaded. Or both. Spent over 1 1/2 hours on hold for guest relations, still didn’t get through.
@WhistlerBlckcmb March 13: Dr. Bonnie Henry (provincial health officer):
"This virus does not transmit when people are outdoors, so go outside and play with your family, go up to our ski hills, go up to Whistler, go out and experience what we have here in British Columbia right now."
@brunchinjune@WhistlerBlckcmb Not crazy. Cynical. They are just trying to save on operational costs. Notice that they’re not refunding any seasons pass money.
@watertosave@WhistlerBlckcmb Not necessary at all. Whatever people will be doing instead of skiing will carry a greater risk of getting the virus. This is just a cynical move by Vail to save on operational costs.
@WhistlerBlckcmb The chance of getting a virus while skiing is virtually zero. Goggles gloves and mask. Large amount of space away from other people. This is more about saving money than any true concern about safety.
