UPDATE: @saraforwi’s campaign says an error occurred during input; the balances on the first report ($34,991
COH) were correct and it will be amended again to reflect that.
And the reasoning that “Sara’s campaign is over” so this meaningless — she hasn’t and doesn’t seem to have enough pressure yet to say she is, so reporting on the circumstances of the campaign manager’s financial problems is doubly newsworthy.
This is twin levels of ridiculous. Campaign manager’s conduct was called into question, campaigns decision to hand over reins to one person is complicated by personal mismanagement. People who say “this is off limits” are acting like they found her OF. It’s newsworthy as hell.
here’s the thing: even you believe this line of reporting is appropriate, sara rodriguez’s campaign is over. there is no coming back from this and she should drop out.
so at this point you’re making the worst week of someone’s life worse out of sheer ego. thats not “leadership”
Really a beautiful encapsulation of why one doesn’t just watch sports, but what it means to wait for that hometown championship. He’s been doing this for years now, but this is a very sober and thoughtful reflection.
I mean, at the very least, its a nice surprise for non-Wisconsin fans. If you're a Badger, however, you may as well just walk into Lake Mendota with rocks in your pockets. So goddamn gutting.
