Thank you to everyone who participated and supported my annual Women’s March Madness Fundraising Bracket for @LadyBallersCamp
Each year I am so honoured to celebrate women’s basketball with friends across the country 🏀🖤

This isn't the 1st year women's #MarchMadness has been "exciting."
It's always been exciting - this is just the most it's ever been broadcast or marketed so the *reach* of the excitement is up.
Remember that the women weren't even allowed to call it "March Madness" until 2022.
Did you know only 19.77% of Wikipedia biographies are about women? Today, we are working on increasing that number at our edit-a-thon with the @LAPublicLibrary!
@onesoccer@TSN_Sports Yikes. For most of @sincy12’s career TSN hasn’t bothered to broadcast the Women’s National Team games. This is despite their higher rank and better performances than the men’s team.
Patting yourselves on the back for broadcasting her literal LAST game is actually just rude.
@SHEscoresbanger Incredibly sad to see Spain’s win tainted by these disgusting actions.
For reference, if your boss force kisses you at work, it’s not a celebration, that’s sexual assault.
@_shireenahmed_@cbcsports “Do Sinclair and Marta deserve a better memory from their last World Cup matches? Of course, but the endings will not always be what we want them to be.”
Brilliant piece from @_shireenahmed_ and thank you for sharing 🍁
@ChristenPress The @re__inc ReCap show has been some of the best content to come out during this World Cup. Press and Heath have been so insightful and brought fresh perspectives every episode. This may be the only silver lining to #aclgate2023
There are four minutes left in extra time at the 2011 Women’s World Cup Final.
By all logic, Japan shouldn’t be here.
In five previous World Cups, they’ve only made it out of the group stage once.
Back home, Japan is in the midst of a national disaster, struggling to deal with the aftermath of the magnitude nine earthquake, tsunami, and subsequent nuclear meltdown that devastated the country’s eastern coastline just three months earlier.
They weren’t even sure they were going to send a team.
After the fact, people will speculate that a higher power was involved.
That the Japanese team was spurred on by something larger than themselves.
And maybe it was God or two monks high up in the Kii Mountains or a burning sense of responsibility to a nation who desperately needed something to hope for that made the final difference.
But in that 117th minute, out there on that pitch in Frankfurt, there is no God.
No Nation.
There is only a Hail Mary corner kick and the sheer audacity of Homare Sawa.
Gods of Soccer: Homare Sawa 🇯🇵
