@T2Rugby A lot of these tries (about 1/3 were in open play and another 1/3 breaking from the maul Dan Sheehan style) - one dimensional to quote a stat without the facts. Cracking player in a great team.
“It’s not often that try-scoring records are broken, much less by a hooker - but Blackheath’s Billy Harding has set two in one season.”

Congratulations to Archie Smeaton, who will be celebrating his 25th cap in the game against Leeds Tykes tomorrow ❤️🖤
Archie, sponsored by James Fleming, first ran out in Club colours against Clifton on 6 September 2025 — he has been a regular in the squad ever since!

“This time we were professional, we stuck at it and we put in a great defensive effort."
Big win for @DoncasterKnight@GaeWilliams reports

@TEnglishSport Set piece wows especially scrum (vs Ire, It and Fr) and poor discipline mean giving up territory and possession and rely on counterattacking for points. Also mistakes/ execution at key points e.g. VDM in last 2 games. Address these and Scotland would be contenders. Scrum vital
@LoveOfRugby_@EllisGenge I don’t think this is completely fair or accurate, a lot of RU kids at private schools for years 12 and 13 were state educated up to 16 and have scholarships because of their rugby and many go to FE colleges and play in the ACE league both groups from state education/ club rugby.
@Naxis911 Chris Jones didn’t even understand the qualification criteria for progressing from pools to quarterfinals last week suggesting that Scotland needed a large score vs Romania to have a chance of qualifying i.e. for points difference (rather than a 5 point win)
@IamAustinHealey Evened up by the knock-on on the floor at turn over breakdown for the Jaminet try. Generally these marginal ref errors/misses even themselves up, and most people want to see flowing rugby rather than constant re-sets
@spkeene @NextGenXV Joe Carpenter?? I think there is a reluctance from Prem Clubs to sign outside their own Academies (they would prefer to develop their own players) and after Yorkshire Carnegie demise players didn’t qualify as home grown players for Salary Cap exemption. I guess this is sorted now

@dansh_cymru@thepaulwilliams Most supporters have a connection to the game either they played or a significant other/relative played. If the grass roots game dies the professional game dies. The pro game exists because the community game exists not the other way round. This point is lost on the pro teams.
