I understand why Lindsay and Kyle are trying to push the narrative on #InTheCity that West manipulated Amanda into their relationship. They’re all castmates and they want the show to succeed. But let’s be serious:

Did West manipulate aspects of the situation? Probably. We’ve seen who he is. But Amanda knew exactly what she was doing and made her own choices. There are people who have known her since high school saying this behavior isn’t new. After 10 years on TV, there still hasn’t been much growth. At some point, we need to call a spade a spade and stop pretending Amanda had no agency in any of this.

A teenager got jumped... was defending himself, and now he’ll spend years behind bars.

We are constantly told to trust the system, but too often the outcomes leave people shaking their heads.

If the facts were different, if the names were different, if the races were different, would the outcome be the same?

That’s not a rhetorical question. Because we just saw last week a Chinese man get away with murdering a Black boy.
