🇸🇪🇫🇮⚠️ BIG | Sweden is sending military forces to Finland after Helsinki requested assistance amid repeated airspace violations along the Finnish-Russian border, marking a significant new step in Nordic defense cooperation on NATO’s eastern flank.

According to SVT, the Swedish deployment will include Gripen fighter jets and Swedish naval vessels, which are expected to conduct patrols in the border region and nearby areas. Additional counter-drone units could also be deployed later. Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson said the move reflects the two countries’ shared commitment to strengthening deterrence and defense in the face of growing pressure along NATO’s northeastern frontier.

The deployment is strategically important because Sweden and Finland are no longer acting as isolated national defense systems, but increasingly as an integrated Nordic military space. Repeated pressure near the Russian border is now producing a collective response involving air, naval and potentially counter-drone forces, signaling to Moscow that any attempt to probe Finnish airspace will increasingly draw a broader NATO reaction rather than a purely Finnish one.

Poland, regardless of who was prime minister, warned against this and did everything possible to prevent Nord Stream 2 from becoming a reality and to make Europe as independent as possible from Russian gas supplies.

Germany certainly should not prosecute those who, when their country had been attacked and Russia had revealed itself as the aggressor, undertook actions of one kind or another.

I believe that the people who should be ashamed are not those who disabled Nord Stream 2, but those who built it.
