@Julia_ZA It is really tough. I have two very anxious children. It is draining for them and for me. Are you in Cape Town? If so, I can send you details for a group class that runs for seven sessions for children aged about 5-10. Helping us a lot.
@Brink_Thinker My children knew two of theirs. A third was alive for a short time after the birth if my first child. Didn't know mine and my parents, whose grandparents they were didn't know them either.
If you've suddenly developed a conscience & decided to support covid vacc, but have spent years allowing anti vaxxers free reign and taking anyone who dares question them to task about kindness, don't act surprised when your platform's stance is queried.
Children can be so very sweet. Working at a gala when I saw a competitor trying to read my name badge, I gave him smile (good thing I have wrinkles to show around my mask) and got a huge wave and grin back (swimmers so they can't wear a mask in the water).
@MamaZombieZA @cathjenkin Yet those some managers won't admit that they have a performance problem themselves as they won't deal with poor performance by their subordinates. Some people also obsess about minutes at desk instead of productivity and cannot cope with the loss of control.
@cathjenkin So glad I work for a company that has said we will take the good parts we learnt in this pandemic and use them. I'm a work from home person now and for the foreseeable future. Yay.
@JJ_Stellies More than ten million vaccines administered here so far and still no hospitals full of people because of it. What we do have is hospitals full of people dying of Covid. People who don't vaccinate seem to struggle with numbers.
@auris123@JJ_Stellies My mom died of Covid pneumonia just before the vaccines became available. She could have lived. She was so pleased I had volunteered on one of the trials and then she got sick and died alone and scared.
