@ong_kil@seulsamada European kids can't keep themselves out of trouble: sail across the Atlantic, circumnavigate the globe, fly into space, walk on the moon.
It's the same spirit you see here.
It's in our blood.
@CumbrianFella_ Well no. If he covers his face he'll bump into people & end up sprawled all over the floor. Everyone would say, "Look at that man with his willy out, rolling around the floor!" and he'd have to take his hands off his face to get up. People would still say, "Oh, look, it's Dave!"
@JUN1984NOV No, if a Sikh gets baptised he stop being a Sikh and becomes a Christian, like Sadhu Sundar Singh.
There are no baptised Sikhs, but all Sikhs should be baptised.
@Sam98103202@Sargon_of_Akkad Assuming that's true, then it would seem that women want to be less happy than men and less happy than their mothers and grandmothers.
@Sam98103202@Sargon_of_Akkad Second Wave feminism wasn't introduced overnight, but over the course of two decades. Over those decades and after second wave feminism, women's happiness steadily decreased.
@Sam98103202@Sargon_of_Akkad I don't know what women want, and I'm not sure they do either. What does seem to be clear is that they aren't getting it in a way that makes them happy in comparison to their grandmothers. Riddle me that one.
@Sam98103202@Sargon_of_Akkad None of them suffered greatly. My paternal grandfather was disabled in a coal mining accident and had to pick coal off the beach to make a living, so they were poor, but they shared in their suffering. She lived to 96 and said she'd had a great life. Raised four wonderful sons.
@pjcboro It's the modern way. Nothing means anything to anyone, any more. Eckert's moral failing will be understood merely as a systems error that caused us to miss out on promotion. If he gets us promoted, people will be happy. We're a scummy club the same as every other scummy club.
@DPJHodges What will be interesting is if a tipping point arrives in the minds of the voters, causing them to decamp en masse to Restore.
Reform may have been conceited in assuming a brand loyalty that takes decades to build.
