The body should be on the lookout for foreign proteins, and the immune system should degrade them. If the body is in immune tolerance - that means it is not going to clear those foreign proteins that means there is a higher risk of severe outcome and also transmissibility because they will be packaged in exosomes and shed.

I would love to know the Covid vaccine status of those that have recently died or being infected on the cruise ship. It would be interesting to see when last they got boosted - switching on immune tolerance. The real issue will be when they start clinical trials and vaccination with Hanta mRNA - that will drive a pandemic.
