@howie_hua My 8th graders were all fired up discussing how timesing and minusing are not words. I know it's a little different but similar because it's about precision of language. Love that it was coming from them!!

@MrsSheehanMath Two things I did helped with this. We did an inquiry activity about the inverse of exponents and I asked them to create their own math notation for it to sort of demystify log. I also always said log base whatever and had them read that aloud often. Reinforces what the base is
