@GunsAndRosariez@Catholicizm1 When you have to constantly squat, bend over, or do any motion that makes your thighs and butt chaff in the hot weather while managing swamp ass it’s a different kind of suffering.
@SteveSkojec Taken for granted how little men get complimented. It’s stuff like this you’ll remember, and get a small mental pick me up for years to come.
@Nemodeneminibus@SteveSkojec Women always bitch about how men are terrible, and sure yeah maybe there are a bunch of bad dudes, but there are plenty of petty, vindictive and selfish women out there too.
I think either sex can point those things out as long as it doesn’t consume you.
@CatholicRob When the Church gave people options, She inadvertently created a situation where people could “shop” around for their preference.
When given an option between two things, people will go with that’s better (The Old Mass)
It is a problem of the Churche’s own creation
@JerusalemJones@CathsAgainstJws Thank you for taking the time to respond anyways. My prayer is people with genuine hate are called to conversion, and those who call out the spirit of anti-Logos rampant in the world today are not derided as racists and hateful for standing up to evil.
@JerusalemJones@CathsAgainstJws That’s a great point I believe it is a sin for a Catholic to believe in biological determinism, the idea that someone’s DNA determines their behavior. However, it’s my experience and opinion that people with evil motives are constantly equating antisemitism with criticism.
@JerusalemJones@CathsAgainstJws I think it’s wrong to assume criticism equals hate. Our Lord tells us to love our enemies. Saint Paul tells us that they’re enemies of all men in 1 Thess 2. We can identify a group that fundamentally rejects Truth Incarnate as enemy while treating them with love and compassion.
@JerusalemJones@CathsAgainstJws The religion that Christ practiced no longer exists, even if they appropriate the name. There is no Jewish religion in a proper sense without temple sacrifice in the same way the Catholic Church that Christ founded is not the same religion without the Eucharistic sacrifice
@TanethGG@RT_com Civil engineer here.
Buckling is the scientific term yes. However, at the localized yielding point, you would very likely see crumbling action the finish on the columns as well as bits and pieces of column itself. No points deducted for a lay man calling it a crumble
@Enjcjones@GunsAndRosariez@GaryColeman5640 That’s pretty much what I say at either priest. State in life, use the phrase accuse myself”, age, time since last confession….
Never had a NO priest say anything except for one who complimented it being for thorough.
@GunsAndRosariez@GaryColeman5640 But to be fair, the old Mass does tend to attract the more autistic crowd that tend to be more hyper aware/ sensitive about these things.
Engineers and autism go together like peas and carrots…
@GunsAndRosariez@GaryColeman5640 Been going almost ten years. Married under the old rite 4 years ago.
No priest, NO or FSSP has ever cared which I’ve used, and I’ve used both each Church.
In my experience, the people at my FSSP parish, with regular access to the old Mass are a lot less picky about these things
@GunsAndRosariez@GaryColeman5640 Disagree. We go to FSSP and 1/2 or my confessions are at the NO parishes in my area closer to my house. Unless there is some special autistic formula they give you at SSPX I call cap
@SteveSkojec My brother and I had our out at the same time when we’re were 8 and 6.
Hurt to eat anything, couldn’t talk, but the popsicles def hit the spot
@redeemedbones@timotheeology Star Wars pre sequels is top tier for gen x, millenials, and gen z
Sorry that not all of us were autistic enough to only grow up on Lotr exclusively….
