🚨🎙️ Gianluigi Buffon on the Cristiano Ronaldo moment they always talked about at Juventus:

🗣️ “The Cristiano Ronaldo moment we always talked about at Juventus was that game against Barcelona.

After Barcelona beat Juventus 2–0 in Turin, Barça’s official account posted a picture of Messi with the message basically saying:

‘Glad you got to see the GOAT on your pitch.’

Juventus replied with a warning: ‘Wrong dictionary — we’ll bring you the right one to Camp Nou.’

Then December 8 came.

Camp Nou.

Ronaldo was back.

Juventus won 3–0. Ronaldo scored twice.

And after the final whistle, Juventus went back to that old exchange and delivered the line:

‘We kept our word: we brought it.’

We were so happy with that result that we talked about it in the dressing room for months.

We said to each other, ‘We wish this guy had joined us when he was young.’ 🥹

Cristiano is a player who can decide a game on his own.” 🐐🇵🇹

[Stretford Paddock @StretfordPaddck]

✍️ Sir Alex Ferguson: “I'm not one to dwell on what my Maker has in store for me, nor am I afraid of dying. Mortality is always with us, even at the most unexpected of times.

“I'm much more interested in squeezing the most out of life. There's much I want to do and a lot of people with whom I want to spend time.

“Yet, every now and again, death crosses my mind. When United announced their plans for a fabulous new stadium to replace Old Trafford, I found myself wondering whether I would be around to celebrate its opening.

“I hope they get to break ground quickly, because if it takes five years to complete, I'll be pushing ninety. However, I know I'll be at the ceremony one way or another – in person or in spirit.”
