Learning deeper trust in God doesn’t often happen in straight lines of obedience. It’s when we cycle through trials, tripping and sometimes falling, that we realize our desperate need for Him.
Knowing our need for Him leads us to putting our trust in Him.
What is consuming your thoughts today, friend? Doubt? Fear? Bitterness? Anger?
Satan knows what consumes us controls us.
So let's hand all of those feelings over to Jesus & consume our thoughts with Him. He loves us. He's for us. And we can trust Him with all of our heart.
My ability to forgive isn't found in my efforts, mustered-up grit, or bossed-around resistance.
My ability to forgive others is made possible when I lean into what Jesus has already done, which allows His grace for me to flow freely through me.
#ForgivingWhatYouCantForget
A prayer of complete surrender we can pray today:
I trust You, Lord. I trust Your plan. I trust Your goodness. I trust what You can see and I can’t.
I trust You with my life, my hopes, my dreams, and my disappointments.
I trust You with it all, Lord.
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12
It’s from a heart of compassion that kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience naturally flow.
Jesus... we need You. Every day. In this moment. Right now.
We need Your love.
We need Your compassion.
We need Your strength.
We need Your grace.
May Your provision for us flow freely through us to others desperate for Your presence.
Unmet expectations and longings are tough on the human heart. What our souls are truly longing for, though, is more of God.
His best is the only source of true satisfaction. He is the only answer to our every desire. And we can trust that He’s got a good plan for good things.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
We don’t have to be afraid.
The Lord is near. And we are safe.
I don’t know what your life holds right now, sweet friend. But I do know the One who is holding you.
Keep trusting Him. Keep walking with Him. He’s got you.
My faith is in Jesus.
My hope is in Jesus.
My trust is in Jesus.
My joy is in Jesus.
My peace is in Jesus.
My healing is in Jesus.
My deliverance is in Jesus.
My redemption is in Jesus.
My freedom is in Jesus.
My assurance is in Jesus.
My inheritance is in Jesus.
In the midst of heartbreak or unanswered prayers, let's find peace in the portion of goodness God has for us today.
Let's look for the lovely. Be noticers of the good.
And even if the tears are still falling, thank God for the gifts He’s tucked into today just for us.
The more we know the Truth, the less likely we are to fall for Satan's discouraging lies.
Lord, protect our minds tonight and reveal the lies we need to replace with truths. We want to exchange our fear for faith and our worry for worship. In Jesus' Name, amen.
Trials and storms will come. Obstacles will rise up. Challenges multiply. But you are never alone. God loves you. He will never leave you or forsake you. He will find you and lead you home.
Every day I am reminded of how easy it is to “miss it.” To miss the moments of life that are right in front of you. I wrote this song as a reminder to myself to stay in the moment and not be somewhere. Lord, Help me live with my eyes wide open.
