Coug for Life 🐾 I know the faithful are hurting right now. Very disappointing to see the way college football is headed. Loyalty is a dying characteristic these days. Trust the Process & Put in the Work / I’ll die on that hill.
Dear Cougs,
Today, er, this week, has been tough. We’ve had high-profile players and a head coach decided to move on. The many body blows have been fast and painful.
Some Cougs decided to give up on and call it quits. Some have given reasons like “the system is broken” and “I don’t want to contribute to spoiled College kids.”
But this afternoon, after alluding to the 20+ monthly contributor cancellations on a Twitter space (@Dylanhaugh) over 30 Cougs took it upon themselves to sign up for the #1890Club, send additional contributions, and bump their current subscription levels!
Why? Because NOW is not the time to back down. NOW is the time to STEP UP. Because, as alumni, supporters, and fans of WSU, we don’t have a transfer portal. We bleed crimson and gray EVERY DAY.
#DoYourPart today and become a part of the solution. Moving forward, the CC will be redoubling our efforts to support @WSUCougars Student-Athletes. #Areyouin?

Other schools may line up a big whale to backup the brinks truck for @mylesrice02 and Cougs may not be able to match, but I promise this, Cougs will come to the well for Myles with ❤️, support, and hard earned $. Our $ may not be more, but our $ and ❤️ MEANS MORE @CougCollective
My father in law is a retired Boeing engineer.
(No, this isn’t one of those “we can’t, we don’t know how” memes. For once, I’m serious.)
The entire time I’ve known him, he’s complained that “MBA bean counters” from McDonnell Douglas ruined Boeing and would get people killed.
I used to ignore him. After all, I’m an “MBA bean counter” myself. I figured he was just annoyed that a Wharton graduate half his age wouldn’t let him gold-plate everything he and his team designed.
As Boeing suffers more safety mishaps, though, it’s becoming undeniable to me just how right he and other Boeing engineers have been. The company’s outsourcing of supply chains and obsession with reducing balance-sheet capital have been unmitigated disasters.
The only way for Boeing to survive at this point is to return to its roots as an engineering-driven company with a culture laser-focused on safety. If that means tanking the company’s ROIC for a few years, so be it. If they have to re-acquire and re-integrate Spirit, then go ahead and do so (at this rate, they’ll be able to just buy Spirit out of chapter 11 next year).
But the current path for Boeing simply isn’t sustainable. They need to do something different, and they need to do it now.
Giveaway time. Long time @Mariners manager Lou Piniella is a finalist for the @baseballhall and we want to help support his candidacy for election. If you agree that Lou should be in the HOF, retweet this post one lucky fan will win this signed photo. Contest ends 11/23.

I wanted to take this in one last time. Just a kid from Maple Valley who got to live out his dream this year. It was an Incredible honor to wear that jersey everyday. I gave everything I had every time I was out there. I wore that jersey with pride. I’m sorry we came up short.
