@MaxxZimonick That might be the most disingenuous answer from an awful interview. Maybe there was some other external reason KM and AB had the ball a lot last year?
@TheLukaVerse@tlove2b Of course they should be trying to win. I never said otherwise. But the reason they should be trying to win is that it's more entertaining for fans that a sports team wins rather than loses.
@tlove2b@TheLukaVerse What value does a team winning games provide outside of its entertainment value? They're playing a children's game to entertain fans, no one gains value from "winning basketball games" outside of its entertainment value.
I don’t support cheating and I don’t play any riot games nor do I have any installed on my machine.
However, the fact that you’re ok with Riot being able to prevent your machine from booting to an OS at all is absolutely fucking absurd. I would be totally OK with Riot games not launching but preventing access to my entire machine is beyond pale.
And before you say anything, I think Microsoft is just as bad for the way this is designed.
@TheMissingPie_e@KVanValkenburg Right, so Scotty would be Tiger without his predilection for Perkins waitresses and percs… In other words, the greatest ever.
@johnsplaining@rossmacleodputt Tennis is generally the same way. It’s possible that Pressel had different circumstances than Wie, but between injury, her parents, and the damage Ledbetter did to her swing you could tell that Wie was pretty checked out by the end of her career.
@LukeKerrDineen I think the ball being conforming is probably an accident. The Shotgun Start guys talked about the ball last year when he put it in play and he was specifically looking for certain launch and spin windows. Didn’t Bryson try the same ball as well?
@johnsplaining@rossmacleodputt Maybe you’re right. I don’t know much about Pressel’s end of career story, but Wie seemed pretty done with competitive golf when she retired. I remember seeing her live at a few events and she seems pretty done (her dad lined up behind every shot probs didn’t help).
