Thank you to @CMAJ for publishing my essay on how it feels to be one of the few physicians still trying not to get Covid and trying to educate my patients about why they too should try not to get Covid. #saltingthevibes https://t.co/zMSWI9H6qU
Today's essential read for all physicians.
"When it comes to COVID-19, most public health officials seem more concerned with meeting people where they are and with keeping people calm than with informing and guiding people about risks to their health."

"I expect to be the only one masking in the movie theatre or grocery store, but among physician peers? Did they not get the memo? Did I not get the memo? It wasn’t just one memo; 24 000 papers on the sequalae of #COVID19 have been published..." -S Gibbens

If you work on the principle that a person who dies from covid has been infected by another person:
One in three hundred americans has killed someone by infecting them with Covid.
I know that sounds harsh, but that's how it works.
I’m only a GP. And I’m shocked at how some of my specialist colleagues think they are not harming patients by not masking.
I’m not smart. But come on! Covid is airborne and Covid HARMS every bit of your body. How can a highly intelligent Dr NOT KNOW THIS???
There should be a rebate, even if small, like many other provinces have and policy and plans to expand charging on highways (small towns) and in building codes. If for no other reason than when people from enlightened parts of the world travel through this backwoods province.
Nothing in the #SaskNDP full election platform on electric vehicles. E.V. owners pay $150 per year in a road tax. The NDP is promising to remove the road tax for polluting vehicles but not for the people who actually did the right thing for the climate. #skpoli
The failures of the pandemic are not complex, technical, no-one-could-have-known failures.
They are failures of morality, humility, integrity. Failures to care. Not just failure to learn, but failure to be *willing* to learn, failure to accept that there *is* anything to learn.
"kids are headed back to their classrooms—just as COVID nears a fresh, late-summer peak. Somehow, 4 yrs into a pandemic that everyone now knows spreads through the air, most schools have done little to nothing to ensure their students will breathe safely." https://t.co/vGC6KmQNf3
