@GingePoker Sure, but if he's ahead here then he's always calling, and if he's behind then he's always folding. His actual hand was one of the few where he can call when he is behind.
It's a disaster to make him fold out hands on the turn that are gonna put in a big river bluff. Right?
@GingePoker Sure, and how is a ten top pair mid kicker doing on average vs. his double barrel range in a 3bet pot? He has all the overpairs.
I just don't get the reasoning behind the shove. Surely this should be a call down on blank runouts instead?
@GingePoker If both players are good regs, then it will also even out when both players have a bad hand.
A player only gains a win rate when his opponents have imbalances in their game which they are unaware of or unwilling to fix.
In optimal games, the only winner is the house.
@herblex@KimIversenShow Kim Iversen has clearly stated that she fully accepts and believes that serious human rights abuses are taking place in China. She just doesn't accept that it is genocide (presumably because she doesn't understand the term).
@KimIversenShow Correct, because they are completely different issues.
It is fine to believe that China should be boycotted for their human right abuses, whilst at the same time believing any individual has the right to represent any nation they choose.
What is your problem with that?
@KimIversenShow So China is wonderful and the Democrats are trying their best to usher in a similar society in the USA ... which is the "real threat".
Got it.
@NicsPicks@GingePoker Yes, of course it is necessary to adjust to your opponents where applicable, and GTO incorporates these adjustments when their requirements have been observed in game play.
However, Ginge did not qualify his statement with such information.
@llcashgamespod@GingePoker Sure, keep folding the top of your range and see how that works out.
Note that villain will be value-cutting himself sometimes when he bets into the top of your range.
But keep making these great folds, I'm sure nobody will notice and start exploiting you.
@NicsPicks@GingePoker If I was "subconsciously using" a pattern, then obviously I would be a very bad RSP player and need to change my strategy. This would be equivalent to a leak in poker, such as overfolding strong hands in 'under-bluffed spots'.
@NicsPicks@GingePoker Sure, you can adjust and overfold - then your exploitative opponents will adjust and overbluff, until you adjust back again, ad infinitum.
The average of these adjustments will be the MDF.
@acesup1090@GingePoker There are very few underbluffed spots in tough games. As soon as exploitative players see you overfolding, they will be all over your stack like a duck on a dune bug until you adjust.
