@pat73316 @JMackey_PGH Bullpen arms are cheap every year. Its fans that give dumb opinions like let's trade Cruz for a reliever every year in made up scenarios. Soria cost the Pirates Jacoby Jones. Kela cost Taylor Hearn. Every time we've bought relievers have cost almost nothing.

@Jack_Hillgrove if I’m the @Pirates I’m trading for 2-3 7th/8th inning guys. Probably only going to cost you an 11-20 range prospect each. Then I’m bringing up Seth Hernandez as a reliever. He’s not ready to start but that stuff will play for one inning to end this year.

If it “ruins” him it’s no different than if we traded him away but he seems like a talented enough prospect that he’d thrive. We can convert him back to a starter in winter ball.
