We can advise the government to release funds from the Petroleum Development Levy to help stabilize fuel prices and ease the burden on ordinary Kenyans. However, there are serious concerns as to whether sufficient reserves remain, given their poor management, misuse of public funds, and the corrosive effects of corruption.
Kenyans deserve transparency, accountability, and prudent stewardship of every shilling collected from taxpayers. Public funds meant to cushion citizens during difficult times must never be diverted or mismanaged while wananchi continue to struggle with the rising cost of living.
