@chad_mizelle "We formally put Vanity Fair and Condรฉ Nast on notice"
This is not a thing. ๐คก This is theater. If you had any standing or evidence they were lying, you would file suit.
I "put you on notice" for being a pure and total shithead, Jared.
@AndThatsBB I certainly would never accuse the Rangers, Nationals or Royals of being "well run".
Sometimes, teams just get hot.
People who are pointing out that 2 of the ~15 "small market" clubs can hang with the big boys... simply aren't making any sort of meaningful statement.
@gallagwar@RyanGarciaMLB Next time you're at work go "do your own thing" for a few days. See how happy your boss is about that. See who he blames for you acting like that.
@DSzymborski A small handful of owners want a salary cap because it stop them from spending money. The rest want it because it allows them to compete more often without committing more resources.
Most players should want a salary floor, and they will accept the cap to get it.
@dcrean@Ian_OConnor The offense wouldn't be "reliant on home runs" if they were getting the *hits* they are actually expected to.
There are only 3 guys on the roster "expected" to hit more than 30 HR in a full season. How can you claim that their plan is to rely on home runs?
@dcrean@Ian_OConnor You can only see these as "mistakes" with hindsight.
The roster construction has been fine. When you pay someone who plays a certain way and they don't.... how was that your fault exactly?
Pretending they aren't coming into the season with a fully capable roster is ridiculous.
@dcrean@Ian_OConnor It's truly a wonder what some of you expect the front office to do beyond "buy a better crystal ball".
Holding the players accountable when the players didn't perform up to expectations was exactly correct.
@Ian_OConnor Derek Jeter's Yankees EARNED that philosophy. Anyone repeating it or thinking it still applies after winning 1 world series in 26 years is an idiot.
So much ink is wasted on a dynasty that had multiple cost-controlled future hall of fame caliber players on it.
@daniel_dsj2110 The French sure seem to need a lot of people to tell them who they should think they are.
Yeah, its so weird that doesn't carry through in America. ๐
