@sdempsey They had good, happy lives and knew so much love and adoration. They were lucky and we are lucky to have had them, for however short or long. I am sorry you lost your Fred, your family.
@sdempsey We had lunch with Ted, a goats cheese pizza, shared it with him and talked about how cute he is when he corresponds with us through nose movements. We agreed how lucky we are to have him, then cuddled him together before I got up to go back to work upstairs. Ted wanted to weeβ¦
@sdempsey Outcome is the same regardless - he was gone. In an instant. A moment. And nothing can change it. It is traumatic, Shane, for all of us. They are nicer and better than people. I am glad you had Fred for so long. I wish so much I had Ted for that time tooβ¦
@sdempsey So Stu let him out the side door and I stayed downstairs as he was only out a minute or two. Then there was a knock on the door. And that was it - Ted was gone. They were driving too fast and swerved onto our driveway, I think, thatβs the only thing we can make sense of.
1) My little boy found a dog tag on the beach when he was with his grandparents. He wasnβt happy at the thought of a dog losing its tag, so he picked it up and brought it home. On the back is the name βBarneyβ and a phone number. So, obviously, we sent Barney a textβ¦ #parenting
