@stevejgordon @Im5tu Haha. Good times! Let me know if you want any help with your stream setup, @stevejgordon - I did a code stream last week so have all the config avail.
@DonBeham If the former didn't work it probably indicates that you have some code somewhere using GetAwaiter or Result on a Task object; sure fire way to deadlock them.

@DonBeham My limited understanding is that the latter *may* run the SaveChanges on a threadpool thread which gets blocked and then syncs back to the original thread (assuming it switched, in which case it yielded on block).
The former will probably yield after hitting an io completion lock
@stevejgordon@pluralsight Probably a bit late now, but I wonder if it'd be interesting to stream while you do that? Get early feedback and allow people to see what goes into making a course? (Assuming there's not secret stuff you can't show or anything)
@Kateandtheboys@markantro In any other service/industry, you *either* have adverts, or you pay. The BBC demand both?
I haven't looked, but I'd also be willing to bet the ratio of ads to content has gone up over time.
@Kateandtheboys@markantro As an aside, try using only streaming services for a month and then go watch live tv at a friends/family
It's weird enough that there are adverts at all, but the ratio of ads to content is INSANE. I can't believe my parents put up with it; even having to fast forward recordings!
