@ETB4NC@RolloRouen Fetuses don't have consciousness and babies don't even pass the mirror test until they're over a year old, meaning they're at a lower level of sentience than a pig. An abortion or even euthanizing a newborn isn't the same as killing a sentient being with developed personhood.
@GhostSal21 >"-not a universal levy on all citizens or all homes equally."
This isn't how they work in the modern day either though. Property taxes in colonial American functioned basically the same as they do today, they were the main source of funding for municipal governments.
@Johnathanknt How is it unconstitutional? The US has had property taxes since before its founding and the Founding Fathers were fine with that, there were never any plans to abolish them.

@NanStephens19 No it's not, the US has had property taxes since before its founding. The Founding Fathers were fine with property taxes and never had any plans to abolish them.

@twenty3ry@nocontextmemes Most resource consumption is in service of sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution of consumer products, not the personal consumption of the rich themselves. It's impossible to separate billionaire resource use from common resource use.
@beta271989 French and Spanish civilization aren't much younger than Italian civilization, and the British starting the Industrial Revolution (literally most important event since the invention of agriculture) has to count for something big.
@RolloRouen One of my most controversial takes is that if an infant is born with a horrible condition that wasn't detected during pregnancy then the parents should be allowed to euthanize the infant within the first 24 hours, like you would with any animal.
@socialist_love The Germanics didn’t consider themselves white either, that concept didn’t exist until the 17th century, yet you refer to them as white.
Both Italians and Germans leveraged whiteness to justify colonialism, so if the ancient Germans are white as you say then so were the Romans.
@merkourios_ Both sides of the "nord vs med" debate are retarded. Arguing over pointless shit from thousands of years ago while their countries are being flooded with Islamic migrants is just the European version of this:
