You said people working a W2 should have a boring biz on the side that “pays you”. So you’ve implied you don’t need to stop working 9-5 to run these boring businesses. And they “pay you” 5-10k per month, not “allow you to work and earn an additional”.

You don’t say the ones you list are hands off explicitly. But if you don’t think you’re implying that these require little to no additional work (passive income) with the language you used in the post, then I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s been interesting the past few years explaining to people I meet while traveling that Seattle has not been very rainy for awhile now. It’s such a strong stereotype that It’s always the first thing people bring up when I say I’m from Seattle.

My great aunt and uncle were some of my favorite people ever growing up, spent half my holidays with them. Just last year I was able to get my whole family back together with them for Thanksgiving for the first time since 2019. We will be going back again this year even though my aunt has passed. Such a joy to reconnect and it’s really worth the effort. Otherwise it just goes away and you’re the last person to understand why it mattered.
