We have seen this at the summit of A57, users are reporting this with evidence. It happens all year round, in all weathers.

We have issues with cars double parked on Rushup Edge and Man Nick on the road down to Edale. Our gritters cannot get through with around 200 cars in the area. Please move your car if you are in the area. If we can't get through neither would a bus or fire engine. Thanks.

It is amazing how people can continue to be so inconsiderate on this stretch of road at the summit! In all weathers, cars have been seen parked on both sides, usually, but not always, on double yellow lines & overhanging the carriageway.

Is it too much to ask to not park here?!

@SnakePassRoad Road Closed signs have been taken down, very expensive electronic signs say beware ice!
No issues other than ice patches on the higher parts.

@SnakePassRoad A57 now been ploughed east to west, temp has now dropped below freezing, there WILL be residual packed ice on the upper sections not cleared by ploughing , traffic will be required to make the gritting work.
