As she stepped in, the book slid from his hands. She picked it up before the doors closed.
Their fingers brushed for a second.
"Thank you," he said with a shy smile.
It was the first time they had spoken.
None of them knew that one small moment would change their lives forever.
*Love Beyond the Bus Stop*
Part 1
Every morning at exactly 7:10, Maya waited at the same bus stop.
She never noticed the young man across the road until one rainy Tuesday.
He wasn't staring.
He was quietly holding.....
The next morning, Maya arrived five minutes earlier.
She told herself it was because she didn't want to miss the bus.
But deep down, she hoped to see him again.
He was there.
This time, he was reading a worn-out novel, completely lost in its pages.
The bus came.
"I pledge my loyalty to the President and the Nation of Kenya,
My readiness and duty to defend the flag of our Republic,
My devotion to the words of our National Anthem,
My life, strength, and service in the task of nation-building,
In the living spirit embodied in our National motto ‘Harambee!’
And perpetuated in the Nyayo Philosophy of Peace, Love, and Unity."
What is going on in Kericho and Bomet Counties is very interesting, especially from the perspective of law enforcement. Are these the same Police who handle our Maandamano? The studious silence of defenders of “private property” during public protests is also noted.
Johnson Sakaja: I have seen 4 mothers sharing a bed at Mama Lucy. I have seen a lady who had given birth the previous day by C-Section sitting on a hard bench the next day. We will not compromise on health care #MondayReport@TrevorOmbija
