@SI49918299@Eve_Barlow Come on, don’t compare Bad Bunny to Clavicular. And honestly, I can’t see why Bad Bunny would even want to go to Israel, but I think he’d be welcomed if he did
@TheFlagGuy_ Yeah, because things went so smoothly for him in Paris, right? And what about New York? This isn’t the first country where he’s faced backlash. He was already controversial long before he came to Israel..
@Emilyaustin When did he apologize? He literally cut the interview short after acting like anyone asking him to take accountability was just being negative toward him…
@cootallx2 Do people even know why he came to Israel or whether he was officially invited? Why act like he was Israel’s official PR? He chose to come and clearly capitalized on all the attention Israel is getting. So why does he expect Israelis to thank him?
@ACJC1288@TheIrishIsraeli Funny how the same people who mock Jews with the whole “promised 3,000 years ago” line turn around and justify their hostility toward Jews by repeating a centuries-old accusation about who killed Jesus. Apparently, ancient claims only matter when they fit your narrative.
@RoKhanna You have no problem naming Israel and the IDF when criticizing them. So why not extend the same courtesy to Hamas? Instead of just saying “the terrorist attacks of Oct 7”, why not condemn Hamas by name?
@Haliyusuf2@AndrewKolvet I read it as an attempt to show how ridiculous these conspiracy theories are, not to compare the people involved. That said, I still think it was a bad and inappropriate analogy.
@broodloper@TRobinsonNewEra I think you missed the whole story. This woman was tragically found dead, and her partner, whom she reportedly met at a pro-Palestine rally, is a person of interest. One tragic case doesn’t justify generalizing about immigrants, asylum seekers, or supporters of that movement.
@RealCandaceO Candace, they grew up Mormon. As far as I understand, their families didn’t accept their relationship, and many gay Mormons keep quiet about these topics because they’re trying to balance their faith, their relationship, and family expectations. So it’s really not that surprising
