I suspect Kurrco is affiliated with @SuperSwipe some how. When SuperSwipe first started their account and only had a dozen or so followers, I noticed Kurrco was following them. Plus SuperSwipe already had a square icon business account even back then. Maybe that’s how they got Pharrell and Travis accounts.
Seeing that @HYPEBEAST, a company traded on the Hong Kong stock exchange, linked to BoF for my Rihanna/Puma scoop while simultaneously using AI to rewrite my analysis on how Puma x Fenty 1.0 and 2.0 differed.
@LoisSakany In my experience, with big outlets (like HighSnob/Hypebeast) there’s almost a sense of superiority where they don’t feel like they’re on the level of the other pages and therefore ignore this criticism. They’ll use AI to remove watermarks and repost news uncredited all the time
no mention of the fact that this is an original colorway from 1997 returning for the first time ever, but a mention of penny's 1 cent logo which is notably not present on the foamposite pro...
No longer keeping quiet about this. If Nylon France approaches you to work with them. Don’t. If you’ve got an outstanding invoice with them, call a lawyer. They currently have no money and are banking on some miracle investor to come along and save them and pay off the string of unpaid invoices from freelancers going back years from LA to Paris. When I confronted the CEO, Eric Buisson on a phone call about their lack of transparency on paying mine and other freelancers extremely overdue invoices he admitted that they used funds paid by an advertiser meant for me for my partnership with that advertiser to pay off other expenses at the magazine which is literally misappropriation of funds. I’m sure I’m not the only one they did this to. Many other folks are reporting issues. When I called him out for that he 1. told me I don’t know anything about running a company, this is how it works and 2. he laughed at me when I expressed anger at there being no actual set in stone date of payment. I probably should have listened when I had previously heard allegations of financial mismanagement and alleged embezzlement but you know when you’ve have a good working relationship with people you would hope that they wouldn’t screw you over. Silly me. Anyways it’s being handled legally and this is just a PSA as I heard they were looking for photographers to work with the magazine. I feel a responsibility to put this information out there as they’re not being as forthcoming with freelancers that they may feel have less social capital so I’m going to use all of mine.
