Montgomery Bus Boycott lasted over a year.
1 day?
We need a sustained economic blackout.

The Israeli occupation forces bombed a water desalination plant and mosque in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.
The plant was providing drinking water to thousands of displaced people sheltering in the area.
Died Suddenly is the New Normal.
Facebook Friend posts that her 22 year- old son died of a heart attack and he had been dealing with heart issues for the past year.
Another commenter casually posted that she lost her son about a month ago, had no known health issues and suddenly died from a heart attack. He was 24.
Another commenter said that her niece in Charlotte, NC died in April from a heart attack. She said that she was in her early 20s.
Someone comments…”That’s why you have to enjoy life while you can. You only live once. I hope they all enjoyed great vacations.”
I stopped reading.
We are being faced with the reality that those we “lost” to Covid are not the only ones that we have LOST to Covid.
Connecting the Dots doesn’t exist.
Curiosity doesn’t exist.
Cognitive Impairment is so apparent to everyone witnessing this but the people who are experiencing it.
Unfortunately, there are far more of them than us.
There was a meme that I posted years ago.
The caption was “You only live once.”
Then the CORRECTION.
“You only die once. You live everyday.”
Ruled illegal but keeps doing them.
Who's enforcing the illegal tariff orders?
Just following orders is not a defense as far as I know.
But hey what do I know just a layman.
Reminder: Trump’s tariffs that were ruled illegal resulted in billions in refunds back to corporations, NOT American consumers who paid higher prices.
Now, Trump wants to raise tariffs on Canada, meaning even higher prices for consumers.
A major home insurance provider just canceled my neighbor’s policy because a drone photo showed "excess moss" on his roof.
He paid premiums for 14 years without filing a single claim.
He spent $800 hiring a professional crew to pressure wash the roof and sent time-stamped proof the next day.
They refused to reinstate the policy unless he paid a 40% rate increase on a new policy.
Property insurance isn't risk management anymore.
It's an automated extortion racket that uses aerial surveillance to drop paying customers the second climate risk hits their bottom line.
Fascinating that the stupid “open letter” has been so widely condemned. The equivalent about Yugoslavia in 1999, or Iraq in 2003, or Libya in 2011, or Syria between 2011 and 2024, would probably have passed without much comment. Taking a solidly anti-imperialist position in those instances meant being in a very small minority.
What’s different now? There are many factors, of course, including that people can learn from their mistakes. But the decisive element is surely that Iran is dealing a historic blow to the US and Israel; that the courage, determination and strategic brilliance of Iran’s war of defence – plus the obvious militant unity of the Iranian people in support of their sovereignty – are a source of inspiration and an ideological lesson for the people of the world.
BREAKING: The U.S. is preparing to rescind up to 200,000 business and tourism visas in the largest mass visa revocation ever, officials say. https://t.co/TZzszWyv4z
NEW: As of this morning, there were roughly 50,000 residents in Memphis, a 62% Black city, without power.
The same story is playing out in Gary, Indiana, a city that is 76% Black, where thousands have now gone nearly two weeks without power.

Safiya Bukhari made her transition on August 24, 2003. Last year I came across video of a gathering held in Los Angeles to honor her and the guest speaker was Yuri Kochiyama.
Holla.

Music piracy hurt labels and corporations the most. Generative AI hurts creatives the most. Not sure how the two are comparable other than the general “destroying music” comments
The fact that any individual can “rubber stamp” or “green light”‘something by virtue of their stature, status, reputation, esteem, etc. is a problem for several reasons, one of which is that it diminishes our responsibility to critical thinking and rigor. It’s not unrelated to the influencer/celebrity culture so many claim to detest.
The very least radicals, revolutionaries, “leftists,” etc. in the imperial core can do is not be an impediment to liberation movements—and even this seems to be too tall an order. (And it’s not just the academics and intellectual class who fail this historical task.)
AI expert Connor Leahy of ControlAI says governments should "criminalize the creation of superintelligence the same way that it is illegal to build a nuclear bomb."
